New year’s resolution? Have fun – now!

I was excited to read this interesting article in the New York Times, and I felt it perfect to share with you all on this first day of 2010.  In the article, John Tierney looks into the all-so-common phenomenon of postponing pleasure.   We all get those gift certificates that expire as we kept putting off going into the shop to redeem them.  We don’t take that vacation we’ve been thinking about for ages, don’t cash in our frequent flier miles, and don’t open that special bottle of wine.  AND the longer we put it off, the harder it is to get around to doing it!  Scientists have been doing research on the topic, but what it all boils down to is — we need to give ourselves deadlines for our “fun activities,” — or chances are, you’ll avoid them forever.

So — I wish you all a happy, healthy, prosperous new year, full of gratitude, and love, and FUN!

Thank you a lot for giving ervyeone an exceptionally spectacular chance to read from here. It’s always very kind and as well , packed with amusement for me and my office acquaintances to search your website on the least three times in a week to study the latest guidance you have. And of course, I’m just always satisfied considering the perfect tricks served by you. Some two facts in this posting are in reality the most effective I’ve had.
